Viscosity North America, Inc. ("Viscosity") is pleased to announce that Charles Kim, Sean Scott, Emanuel Cifuentes, Rich Niemiec, and Craig Shallahamer will participate in the first in-person ODTUG Kscope22 educational conference on Oracle and Emerging technologies, since the pandemic. This year, the event will be held at Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, Texas, from June 19 through June 23.
Charles Kim, CEO of Viscosity and Oracle ACE Director, will be presenting the topic, "APEX for DBAs: What Every DBA Must Know." This course will be interesting for APEX project managers, from beginners to advanced. Its focus is on:
In addition, Kim will demonstrate the Oracle APEX service and its advantages and talk about infrastructure as a service.
Emanuel Cifuentes, Consulting Architect at Viscosity, will reveal APEX in the "Digital Data Capture with APEX Mobile Apps" workshop as an excellent and easy tool for building mobile-friendly web applications. He draws parallels between JavaScript and APEX, proving that you can overcome the limits with the latest Oracle solution by wrapping your APEX Application in a React Native frame to access Google's ML Kit. It will allow you to use the camera on most mobile devices to scan and parse barcodes, Data matrices and even do text recognition. This course is intended for full-stack developers and software architects.
In the "Unfold Your Database's Swiss Army Knife: Autonomous Health Framework" practical session, Sean Scott, Managing Principal Consultant at Viscosity and Oracle ACE, will showcase all the ins and outs of using the Autonomous Health Framework (AHF). He will affirm the enormous opportunities of the AHF, not only for generating diagnostics for service requests. Few professionals may appreciate AHF as more than a stepping stone to getting SRs assigned – it's the fast track for identifying and solving them! Fewer still realize that helping Oracle Support find and fix problems is a fraction of what it does. Sean teaches the AHF to become a pro, sharing techniques to escape disaster with MacGyver-like ease.
Rich Niemiec, the Chief Innovation Officer at Viscosity, will present "The Future World Enters the Twilight Zone," where he'll look at the current state of technology and how Machine Learning, AI, Mixed Reality, Robotics, Implants, and Quantum Computers will shape the future.
Finally, Craig Shallahamer, Viscosity's AI/ML Scientist, Oracle ACE Director, and founder of OraPub, will be presenting two sessions and one case study. He will kick off with the "Case Study: Anomalous Detection Using a Multi-cluster ML Model," where he explores using multiple cluster ML models to detect anomalous DB activity. He will continue into his next session covering "AAS Predictions Using Deep Learning Neural Networks with Sysmetric Data," which delivers machine learning for the Oracle DBA of the future. In the second presentation, "How to Find the "Top Anything" Using Raw ASH Data," Shallahamer explores creatively and aggressively using raw ASH data to answer traditionally difficult but essential Oracle and application performance questions.
